Both private pilots and professional pilots are required by law to pass medical requirements pertaining to the class of pilot licence. All examination procedures should comply with the requirements of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and in compliance with the CAP448C Air Naviation (Hong Kong) Order 1995 (ANO) and Hong Kong Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs).
Fitness to Fly for Passengers
The requirements for fitness to fly as passengers are different from those for pilots. Airline companies will have different sets of forms or criteria for passengers with medical issues. Such passengers will need to contact the airline companies. They may need to fill in application forms and submit to the airline companies before their flights.
